Stewart Memorial Community Hospital Launches Medical Equipment Loan Closet for the Community

Stewart Memorial Community Hospital is proud to announce the launch of its new Medical Equipment Loan Closet, a vital resource aimed at supporting individuals in need of medical equipment. This initiative is designed to provide essential items on loan to those within the community, ensuring that everyone has access to the tools necessary for recovery and mobility. The Medical Equipment Loan Closet will be open to anyone in need, regardless of their financial situation. The hospital is currently seeking donations of gently used medical equipment to help get the program off the ground. Items requested include wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, bedside commodes, bedside tables, and shower chairs. Those wishing to donate other medical equipment that may not be on the list are encouraged to reach out to the hospital for further details.

The Medical Equipment Loan Closet is designed to ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, has access to the necessary tools for recovery. Community members can contact Michelle Shaver or Mandy Smouse during business hours to arrange borrowing the equipment. Once the equipment is no longer needed, it should be returned to either Michelle or Mandy at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital.
